Football is a team sport that depends on many different positions working together. Offense, defense, and special teams each play important roles, and every player contributes to the overall success of the team.
A quarterback leads the offense, wide receivers create opportunities for big plays, and the offensive line protects the quarterback and opens running lanes. On defense, linemen pressure the quarterback, linebackers support the run and pass defense, and defensive backs defend receivers.
